IB Learning
Reading & Writing

As a Language and Literature educator at an International Baccalaureate (IB) middle school, we focus on introducing terms, learner profiles, and what it means to be an IB learner.

In the gallery (pictured left) you will find examples of the IB Learner Profile project that our Middle Years Programme students created. The Learner Profile project defines each trait, an example of a person who exemplifies the trait, and reasoning.

Mythology

Students showed their understanding of Greek mythology by creating skits and videos based on popular television shows. Check out some of the videos!

In Language and Literature, we follow the Reading and Writing Workshop format. In order to support growth, we focus on developing reading strategies with Reader's Apprenticeship and Notice & Note. Check out some of our classwork and partner thinking in the gallery (pictured right).
